  • Superfast Cymru

    Superfast Cymru, a partnership between the Welsh Government, BT, UK Government and the European Regional Development Fund is the largest of its kind in the UK. It is working to achieve, when combined with commercial programmes by the private sector, the Welsh Government’s aim of providing 96% of premises in Wales with access to fast fibre broadband by the end of Spring 2016.

    The above is an announcement on the Superfast Cymru website. It remains to be seen how well they do in achieving targets and coverage. The editor for one, is hoping they meet all targets as they intend to have all Llandeilo on fibre by June of this year. According to the site, Salem is within scope for the Superfast Cymru Rollout. If all this comes to pass,there should be many smiley faces in the village.

Our village hall...

The village hall was re-built in 2005. It now provides a great community resource which is used by any number of groups each week.

The hall is suitable for a range of activities - from meetings and events to family functions and parties. The hall is available for hire, with hourly and daily rates. For more information or to make a booking, please contact:
