• Report on the latest Bingo session...

Saturday, 19th May saw another very successful night of Bingo at The Hall.

It was a fine evening and the parked cars stretched ‘for miles’. The caller and his ‘assistant’ arrived later than usual and there was no room for them to park. Thank goodness for The Angel car park - well, at least for now!

The evening coincided with the Short Mat Bowls Club weekend trip and it was thought because so many of the regulars were away that attendance figures would be down. ‘No way, José’, that was certainly not the case! Fifty two people played the games and the prizes weren’t half bad. £9 Line and £21 House. One for the Road prizes were £15 & £32.

There were a couple of Very Lucky punters, but, as is to be expected, loads more Unlucky ones!

Again, an extra table needed to be set up to accommodate and before everyone had been able to buy their raffle tickets, we ran out! This meant that more Salem Crazy Bingo tickets had to be printed and laminated - but not until the following day of course!

The mood of the evening was a jolly one. Heaven forbid that that ever changes!

Many thanks to all helpers and to the generous folk who brought food and raffle prizes.

    Financial statement:

    Bingo & Raffle receipts £346.00

Prize money, food and raffle £242.00

    Balance banked 20.5.2012 £104.00
